Setting Goals

We all need to set a goal or an intention to achieve something in our life,

whether it is

Health,

Career,

Relatoinship,

Finances or

Self care.


Let US define a goal. A goal is something you want badly and stretches your skills and abilities beyond your expectation but it moves you away from your comfort zone !!


1. It should be stated positively.

Ex: I want to look good in my body being in my ideal body weight.

instead of " I want to lose weight"


2. It should be intiated and done by you only.

Ex: I want to react in a calm way.

Instead of "I don't want to be angry"


3.Plan to achieve it within a time frame, so that you will have more motivation to follow consistently.

Ex:I want to be more flexible by the end of March, So i am practicing yoga on Saturday and Sunday.

Instead of "I will do yoga." or "I don' want to have pain in my back"


4. Imagine the picture of you achieving your success by involving the senses.

Ex: I can see $10,000 money in my bank account on March.

Instead of "I want to earn more Money"


5. Break down into small chunks ,if you have a very big goal planned to achieve for a year.

Ex: I am improving my communication skills by implementing one happy conversation one month.

I am improving my body language by talking infant of the mirror one month.

Instead of " I want to be the best public speaker"


So brainstorm a few goals and start small. You should be able to achieve the result on one months that you will be motivated to set another goal and improve your life each day !


Once you have a goal, Write it in a place where you will see it. Link your goal to the imagine of you achieving it and celebrating it. (Like the picture below)

Now you will have a clear picture of success and be inspired to start working on the goal.


Remember - Enjoy the Process and Relax with deep breaths in-between.
